How it started…

I am thrilled to have suddenly had the motivation to share a passion of mine with more people. In conversation with people, it is often said “you remind me of ….” or “you should have a youtube channel like ….” I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to share my passion of helping others fall in love with books and use my talents in new ways. Last night I asked my daughter to help me come up with a logo for this idea. She created the logo for me and worked with me to edit and create an image that brings together some of my deepest passions! It is playful, simple, and highlights a love of reading and nature. Once she created the logo, I couldn’t stop moving forward. It was like a freight train, a kid (or me) on Christmas or Easter morning. Previously I have attempted to create a website, social media presence because I thought it was something I was supposed to do or something I needed to do to help push myself forward. Every time I have tried, I felt no intrinsic motivation to complete tasks and create. Last night was different. My motivation came from within. I am thankful to an old friend (a friend I met a long time ago, she is my age so she’s not old) who seems to have followed her own dreams. Thank you Lauren Smith (and Sean). Book Nerd is a local book store where I feel at home. All the stars have aligned and I get to read there today at 2:00. I hope to see you there!
